Trey Parker has stated that he is fascinated by Mormonism (although he is
not Mormon). That does not mean that he does not find some of their beliefs
    hard to swallow.

The ‘South Park’ Mormon episode is excellent. Yes, it does poke fun at
Joseph Smith and questions the foundation of the religion (not to mention
Joseph Smith’s mental state). But, in the end, the Mormon family is
portrayed as close-knit and loving. Stan can’t get around what he believes
are the kooky aspects of the faith and misses out on a good friend because
of it. The message is tolerance.

As for the musical, it’s a comedic exaggeration meant to entertain. I am
sure it is not the intention of anyone to hurt feelings. Really, if they
took out the Mormon spin and just made it about missionaries in Africa, it
would probably work just as well.

Mormans do not act like that. We do not need proof to govern our lives to
show what is and is not true. We only need faith. It is just like saying:
did you love your family? Proove it. I for one know that the church is
true and your unloyal comments are dirty and filled with lies. The
Morman’s have helped billions around the world using fast offerings. We
give clothing, food, water etc to the poor and needy. With the Ebola scare
and the Isis, we are ready to feed the starving and we will help you out
too without question. Please show respect. “Throat cleared.”

I noticed an Atheist jumped online here. It continually ceases to amaze me
how “they” continue to try to discredit Gods existence which only disproves
their point. Why would they all be so insistent that there is no God? Seems
they continue to confirm the fact that their is just by their persistence.
BTW There is no such thing as Atheists. God doesn’t believe in them.

*You will never feel completely alive until you know and see Life for what
it really is.* Right now, society and culture have people living in the
illusions of our made up world, and its killing us spiritually. It’s time
for everyone to learn The Truth about Life.

It’s interesting to think that the literary Baloo was the exact opposite in
terms of personality from the onscreen version. He’s more of a hardass,
trying to get Mowgli to learn how to survive in the jungle and respect the
animals. Kind of the same message portrayed here, but he’s a bit more like
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman in terms of his methods of teaching.

Terry Gilkyson – The Bare Necessities

    Look for the bare necessities
    The simple bare necessities
Forget about your worries and your strife
    I mean the bare necessities
    Old Mother Nature’s recipes
That brings the bare necessities of life

Wherever I wander, wherever I roam
I couldn’t be fonder of my big home
The bees are buzzin’ in the tree
To make some honey just for me
When you look under the rocks and plants
And take a glance at the fancy ants
    Then maybe try a few

The bare necessities of life will come to you
    They’ll come to you!

    Look for the bare necessities
    The simple bare necessities
Forget about your worries and your strife
    I mean the bare necessities
That’s why a bear can rest at ease
With just the bare necessities of life

Now when you pick a pawpaw
    Or a prickly pear
And you prick a raw paw
    Next time beware
Don’t pick the prickly pear by the paw
    When you pick a pear
    Try to use the claw
But you don’t need to use the claw
When you pick a pear of the big pawpaw
    Have I given you a clue ?

The bare necessities of life will come to you
    They’ll come to you!

So just try and relax, yeah cool it
    Fall apart in my backyard
‘Cause let me tell you something little britches
If you act like that bee acts, uh uh
    You’re working too hard

And don’t spend your time lookin’ around
For something you want that can’t be found
When you find out you can live without it
And go along not thinkin’ about it
    I’ll tell you something true

The bare necessities of life will come to you
